These specialized treatment facilities offer treatment while negating the risk of students falling behind in their studies and with the many extracurricular activities, students will also be able to keep up with their physical well being. Some of the RTC facilities also include competitive sports as an activity for therapy. Most treatment centers designed for troubled children and and teens have programs that center around the interests of that age group. Sports teams, art or drama clubs are often provided as activities to help strengthen relationships among peers, and to be used as therapeutic instuments to promote positive outcomes.
