Parents considering Sunset Bay Academy has many questions, and they should. At SBA our Admissions Director will take all the time necessary to answer every single question you may have. There are no dumb questions except the questions you are afraid to ask. It is our recommendation that you ask everything, and do not hesitate.
The more you ask, the more comfortable you feel about the enrollment. The more comfortable you feel, the faster we can get to the restoration and healing process. You need to feel free to ask until you reach your personal comfort level. We will spend all the time necessary to help you to cover everything you can think of and more.

1. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO ENROLL MY CHILD? To enroll a new student at Sunset Bay Academy you will have to bring all pertinent legal documents and items outlined in our admission packet.

2. HOW DO I PAY FOR MY CHILDS TUITION? Payments can be made by check or direct deposit.

3. WHERE DO I MAKE MY PAYMENTS? Payments are made directly to the SBA Billing department. Our billing department can help you decide and chart out the best available options to meet your financial commitment.

4. IS THE ACADEMIC PROGRAM ACCREDITED IN THE UNITED STATES? Yes, we are accredited by world-accredited school system: Advantages School International, and all academic credits are validated in the United States. If your child completes their high school credits at SBA they willreceive a valid High School Diploma. This diploma will be accepted at the time your child applies for college. In addition, we offer SAT preparation courses.

5. IS IT A SECURE FACILITY? Yes. SBA is a secure facility that has more than 15 video cameras, security night watch personel as well as 24/7 local police presence on site.

6. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY CHILD IS ENROLLED? When the student arrives at SBA they go through a formal intake process. If you hire a transportation company you will receive a phone call when your child arrives at our facility to inform you that he/she has arrived safely.

Staff will proceed to conduct an inventory of all your child’s belongings to verify that no illegal items are in his/her possession. Students are then assigned to a student leader at all times for the first three days. This adjustment period will help your child understand how the program works and the reasons why they were sent to SBA.

Within 48 hours, you will receive a phone call from your assigned family therapist who will provide you with a detailed report that will inform you of the progress your child is making though his/her adjustment period. At that point, you will have a permanent phone schedule to receive ongoing weekly progress updates.
