Transporting your child to Sunset Bay Academy
The most important part of the enrollment process is your child’s safety. As far as transportation there are several options you have at your disposal. We will provide you with coaching and consulting. We will talk you through your options and help you to determine the best choice for you and your child. Again, safety and security is the only factor in determining the mode of transportation to the academy.
Some of our students are transported to Sunset Bay Academy by professional transport agencies. Transport agencies are third-party companies hired by you to transport your teen safely to Sunset Bay Academy. We will give you several referrals (options) that you can check out and pick the transport agency that is best for you and your family.
At Sunset Bay Academy we have worked with excellent transport companies and those that we recommend are the best in the business. Transport agencies are typically used by parents when there is a high-risk of runaway, or dealing with uncooperative teens. Our Admissions Director will coach you through the choices and assist you in your decision.
If your teen is willing to come to Sunset Bay Academy, we will coach you on how transport him/her to our facility in a manner that is safe and effective. We will guide you through this process and be with you every step of the way. If you wish, we can be in contact with you and assist you with all the factors that create a positive experience.
We only ask that you call ahead and schedule your arrival. Our duty is to provide all the help and assistance necessary to ensure that the enrollment process is a positive and therapeutic experience. The arrival and enrollment process can be the first day in a healthy process of recovery and restoration. We want to plan the enrollment to take advantage of creating an environment that promotes a therapeutic arrival.

We believe that your child has to be a perfect fit for Sunset Bay Academy. We expect that you feel the exact same way. We are a unique therapeutic boarding school specializing in the therapeutic intervention of troubled teens. It is extremely important that both parties establish whether we are the appropriate school for your child specific needs. Our Admissions Director will walk you through the assessment process and help you to determine whether our school is best suited for the special needs of your child. We will discuss your teen’s behavior and family history with you. We will also answer any questions that you may have about our program.
2) PARENT TOUR
Interested families are highly encouraged to visit our facility to meet the staff and students prior to enrollment. Please call in advance to schedule a tour and a meeting with our Admissions Director.
3) COMPLETE ENROLLMENT APPLICATION
